Deserted beaches, spectacular scenery - a paradise for those seeking to escape. A holiday off the beaten track in the British Virgin Islands means leaving the crowds behind, and discovering one of the most romantic spots in the world!

IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS

It will be necessary for you to spend a minimum of seven nights at your chosen hotel. After three working days it will be possible for your wedding to be conducted subject to availability. Weddings are conducted Monday to Friday excluding Public Holidays. To marry in The British Virgin Islands you must be 21 years of age or over.

PROCEDURE It will be necessary for both of you, and an accompanying witness, to present your documentation in person to the Registrar (in Tortola). Return transport will cost approximately US$40 per person, which must be paid locally, for you and your witness.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

 

 

 

 

For weddings at any property in British Virgin Islands, photocopies of the documents listed on the right must be with The World of Transport Travel, no less than ten weeks prior to departure. You will also need to take the original documents with you, unless otherwise stated. If applicable, you will also need to bring the documents below:

  • Birth certificates
  • Valid ten-year passports
  • Full names, addresses, occupations and religions of the bride and groom
  • If divorced - Decree Absolute
    If widowed - Death Certificate of former spouse and previous Marriage Certificate
    If either partner's name has been changed by Deed Poll Legal proof
