Virgin Blue
Virgin Blue took off in August 2000 with only two aircraft, one route and a very small team who managed to halve the cost of air travel in Australia.
Since its launch Virgin Blue has become Australia’s leading major airline for service, performance and value for money. In January 2004, they launched Pacific Blue, its New Zealand based international airline offering flights between Australia, New Zealand, the Cook Islands, Fiji, Tonga and Vanuatu. In October 2005, Virgin Blue joined with the Government of Samoa to launch ‘Polynesian Blue’, an innovative joint venture airline that provides affordable air services between Samoa, New Zealand and Australia.

- We do not charge any additional booking fees when making a reservation. All fares quoted are strictly non-refundable, but may be amended at a charge.
- Virgin Blue currently offer air pass rates for their domestic services, providing you have a minimum of four flights, are not a resident of Australia, and hold an international air ticket to/from Australia. We are pleased to offer you these rates, but as they are bespoke, we do need your full itinerary to see if this would be cheaper than us booking your flights separately.
- Please note that due to the nature of low-cost air travel, flight prices are date orientated and therefore it is imperative that you provide us with the correct dates of travel and number of people travelling including number of adults/infants/children when you make your enquiry.
- If you are taking baggage to be placed in to the hold a charge is made and a maximum of 20kg can be taken. It would be helpful to know if you are taking a suitcase with you. If you exceed your allowance, you will need to pay locally for excess baggage.
- All quotes are correct as of sending our quotation to you, but are subject to price increase and availability, until paid for in full. As Virgin Blue/Pacific Blue/Polynesian Blue will be responsible for taking payment, they accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express payment. Regrettably, due to local restrictions, they do not accept Maestro or Solo debit cards.
- Any fares quoted will be in local currency or the one used for airline purposes. Therefore, please be aware of this as it will be this amount that gets charged to your credit card and will then be charged back in to your appropriate currency by your credit card provider in association with the banks. We have no control whatsoever over the final conversion rate.
- Tickets will be dispatched to you by email, so please ensure that the address you give us is one that will accept attachments.
